Welcome to Island Walkies

I am Jacqueline, the owner of Island Walkies on the Isle of Wight.

We always had pets growing up, it was a full house of our dog, cats, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs... and we even had horses. 

Being surrounded by pets and caring from them growing up, I knew I wanted to work with animals when I left school. I worked as a zoo keeper on the mainland when I left school working with a variety of different animals.

Throughout my career, I have had a variety of different roles, mainly in admin when my daughters were born. I started my own business called Mother Hen's Poultry in 2017 running a smallholding of lots of chickens, ducks, geese, guinea fowl and peacocks. 

​

We moved to the Island in 2024 after living on the mainland all my life. I always wanted to live by the sea. We have 2 dogs, a Shih Tzu and a Jack Russell x Long Haired Chihuhua and a crazy cat. Both my dogs love Island life and all the beautiful walks to be had. I love exploring and walking.

I offer a reliable, friendly service and try to be as flexible as I can to support your pets needs. ​

​

I specialise in solo walks or paired dogs from the same household so I can give all the care and attention needed for your dog(s). I am based on the West of the Island and mainly cover this area.
